DXScope
This policy covers the DXLens website and the DXLens app on supported Apple platforms.
Website delivery
The website does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may process ordinary network and security information needed to deliver and protect the website.
Data on your device
Settings, filters, favorites, Custom views, receiver presets, validation history, alert rules, logbook entries, and recordings are stored on your device. Forecast-validation snapshots and reception sessions remain local unless you deliberately export them. DXLens does not operate an advertising profile.
Optional schedule-change notifications
If you opt in to schedule-change push notifications, DXLens sends the Apple Push Notification device token for this app installation and your selected schedule-change notification preference to DXLens infrastructure solely to register or remove that delivery preference. This information is not used for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.
Optional reception-opportunity notifications
If you create and enable a Reception Watch, DXLens sends an installation identifier, Apple Push Notification token, the selected broadcast and source-schedule identifiers, frequency, sensitivity and quiet-hours settings, forecast evidence needed to evaluate that watch, and coarse path coordinates to DXLens infrastructure. Precise listening coordinates and your reception-validation history are not uploaded. The service uses this information only to evaluate and deliver the requested opportunity alert.
Optional location
Location is optional and can be replaced with a manual listening location. When enabled it supports paths, local time, maps, weather context, and receiver matching—not advertising or cross-app tracking.
External services
Selected features may send the request information needed to schedule, weather, map, propagation, or receiver services. Open-Meteo may provide weather context and OpenStreetMap / Overpass may provide mapped context when those features are enabled. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Public SDR receivers
An independent receiver operator can receive normal connection information, including IP address, listener name or callsign if supplied, and tuned frequency. DXLens does not control operator retention.
Personal RTL-TCP receivers
RTL-TCP host, port, RF profile, and performance settings are configured on your device. The app connects directly to that host when you use the receiver; DXLens does not add the endpoint to the public receiver directory.
Recordings and iCloud
Recordings are made locally only when requested and are not automatically uploaded. Supported preferences and small continuity data may use your Apple iCloud account.
Retention, deletion, and contact
You control local app data through app controls or by deleting the app. Deleting or disabling a Reception Watch stops that watch; turning off its notification service removes its server registration. Turning off Schedule changes notifications or System notifications removes the corresponding device-token registration. Privacy questions may be sent to privacy@dxlens.app.
