What “Live” means, how forecasts differ from measurements, why receivers become unavailable, and how your data is handled.
Does DXLens measure live signal strength?
No. Reception guidance uses schedules, path context, bands, time, and models. It is not a live signal meter or a reception guarantee.
What does “Live” mean?
It means the current time falls within a published schedule window. It does not confirm that a transmitter is on or receivable.
Why can a green band be quiet?
Band guidance cannot know your exact antenna, local electrical noise, transmitter condition, or moment-to-moment fading.
Is location required?
No. You can use a manual listening location. Location improves path, local time, map, and receiver context.
Can DXLens work offline?
Cached schedules and local settings may remain useful, while refreshed schedules, maps, forecasts, purchases, and public receivers require internet access.
Why is a receiver unavailable?
Public receivers are independently operated. Capacity, maintenance, network policy, and frequency coverage can change.
Are recordings uploaded?
Recordings are created locally at your request and are not automatically uploaded to the developer.
Does DXLens track users?
The reviewed version includes no third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK.
